South Celebes. 3½ Cent postcard with black small anchor overprint and 7 characters in frame (Dai Nippon Teikoku Seifu) Bu.236a from Makasser 15.6.47.9 (vNV.020), thus after the Japanese occupation, to Father G. van Velzen in Ndao (probably meant Ndona) near Ende on the island of Flores. Father van Velzen was interned at Pare Pare (Celebes) but returned to Flores after the war. The writer asks in the Dutch language for some schoolbooks. Very rare and late usage of this postcard
