MOLUCCAS. NETHERLANDS INDIES MILITARY FIELDPOST CARD WITH BROWNISH ORANGE HINOMARU OVERPRINT AND VALUE 3½ SEN, AND IN RED THE TERNATE MINSEIBU AUTHORIZATION SEAL, BU.261, JSCA NO. 8NS9. THE CARD IS WRITTEN IN TOBELO IN 2603, DATE BLACKENED BY CENSOR, BUT THE WRITER REFERS TO A LETTER OF 9 JUNE 2603 WHICH HE RECEIVED, AND THE MESSAGE IS ALL ABOUT FAMILY AFFAIRS. THE CARD IS TIED BY THE TEIKOKU SEIFU POSTMARK OF TOBELO IN VIOLET, SENT TO FAMILY IN BANDOENG, CENSORED IN TERNATE, SHOWING THE HAND STAMPED CHOP OF WATUPONGOH. Moluccas. 3½ Cent postcard of the general issue Bu.284 written in Saparoea (message is about family affairs), date crossed out by the censor, tied by Teikoku Seifu postmark of Saparoea, sent to Soerabaja. Saparoea did not have a censor mark, so it made a provisional one out of its postal cancellation (in fact misspelled as Saparoa, hence the censor corrected a charachter) and wrote 'soedah diperiksa' (= already been checked) with signature. Moluccas. 10 Cent van Konijnenburg with black Ambon anchor overprint no. 611z-43bg (cat. value € 550) tied in black by Ambon telegraphic money order postmark (vNV.305) on complete money order to transfer 20 roepiah from Ambon 19.8.1 to Poerworedjo (Java) 26.8.04. Censored in Ambon, on the right a red stylized TH in frame from postmaster The. Illustrated in MTC on p.107, the DN catalogue on p.457 and in JR van Nieuwkerk on p.260. Very rare stamp on entire! Moluccas. 10 Cent van Konijnenburg with green Bali anchor overprint no. 531g-43II as a single franking cancelled Teikoku Seifu postmark from Ambon, sent by a heiho (Indonesian who joined the Japanese armed services, Oka Dai 10389 Boentai) to family in Djakarta. Special censor marks, the long Fusho Sashidashi Kyoka (= Authorized to send sealed letters), the short 'Ken Etsu Zumi' (= already checked).
