Pb.G5a geschreven en verzonden te Solo op 26-2-1942 waarin o.a. ‘Ik moet eindigen want er is juist luchtalarm 11½ uur…’ naar een stoker p/a Marinepostdienst te Soerabaja, gecensureerd te Batavia met Marine-Censuur/E (Bu.CM2) met op az. aankomst 28-2-1942. Op 27-2-1942 vond de Slag in de Javazee plaats. Wat is er tussen maart 1942 en eind 1945 met dit stuk gebeurd? Diverse notities en op az. groot rond stempel van Marine Postkantoor, op vz. GEREPATRIEERD. Mogelijk op 14/1 1946 naar Nederland gestuurd waar zich de onderzeeboot HrMs. O 24 bevond, met aan boord stoker De Groot. Foto van de O 24 bijgesloten. In allerlei opzichten een bijzonder en historisch poststuk!

Zelfgemaakte briefkaart gefr. met 5 sen, afgest. met noodstempel HULPPOST/KANTOOR PONOROGO met bijgeschreven datum '25/5 49' naar Djakarta

Luchtpostcouvert gefr. met 15 cent nr. 351 afgest. TJILATJAP/S1 (schaars!) op 20-6-1949 naar Soerabaja. De brief met bijgesloten fotootje van een stelletje (afzenders?) aan het strand zit er nog in, en bevat persoonlijk nieuws

Mooi omslagbandje gefr. met 3 sen van Medan 1-11-1949 naar een officier, per adres Veldpost Medan, doorgezonden o.a. via Batavia-C. 21-12 (az. stempels w.o. Kartotheek, obk = onbekend) en Veldpost-Batavia 23-12, retour Medan 7-1-1950 want geadresseerde blijkt gedemobiliseerd. Curieuze fout in rechthoekig stempel: Gedemobiliseerd / Retour Afeznder'

Java. Berkorbanlah! 3½ Cent postcard with propaganda illustration and text Bu.J11P, bearing 3 stamps, philatelically used in Soerabaja 18.8.04. Extra information: 2020 of these cards are printed in the Printing Office ‘Paris’ and sold for f. 0.15 each

Java. 3½ Cent postcard Bu.J11 with additional 3½ and 3 cent (faults) from a family in Djokjakarta 20.1.04 to the father, a military POW (= Tawanan militer) at the Hakodate I POW camp in Hokkaido, Japan. Very rare, only a few postcards to a POW in Japan are known, all creased in the middle (the cards were kept in a breast pocket and were carried there for a long time). See: Bu. p.407

Java. 3½ Cent postcard Bu.J11 with additional 10 cent definitive issue in pair from Djakarta 19.2.05 registered (label partially torn away) to Indramajoe 21.2.05. Registered postcards are scarce!

Java. 2 Sen from the first Showa series, General Nogi, in pair on Dutch East Indies military fieldpost card, written (typewriter, message concerns family and acquaintances matters) on 16-7-2603 (place blackened by the censor), from Mohammad Said to H. Anwarbarak, stamps cancelled Soerabaja 11.8.03, and locally sent. Written in red pencil ‘Keliroe nama / Kembali’ (= wrong name / return), thus returned to sender in Soerabaja 12.8.03. Very rare usage of Japanese stamps, not available in post offices, however allowed for franking. Illustrated in DN catalogue on p.74. Exhibition item!
