One card (holes of 4 staples) with definitives of 30, 40 and 50 cent in pairs, tied by violet Third Anniversary of the Rebirth of Sumatra 20.3.21 of Palembang (vNV.437v), ‘Bekerdja!’ = Work!. Another card is from the post office of Djambi 20.4.14 with message about a letter and money order (thus not philatelic), showing 2 different cachets in black, Third Anniversary of the Rebirth of Sumatra 20.3.27 (vNV.437z, rare!) and also the Second Anniversary of the Rebirth of Sumatra 19.3.21-27 (vNV.426z, also rare!), most unusual, censored and sent to Soerabaja, forwarded to ‘Darmabld 171’ (Darmoboulevard = street name)

Signatures of postmaster Abdul Madjid on 2½ cent Kreisler and of postmaster Roesli on 10 cent Van Konijnenburg, both in bluish black ink nos. 513z-17b and 514z-43bg on money order fragment, beautifully cancelled Pagaralam 1.12.2. Madjid and Roesli were both postmasters at Pagaralam and both authenticated stamps by placing their signature. Extremely rare piece, illustrated in DN catalogue on p.235

Both the stamp and on the reverse we see a part of the rare cds of TEBINGTINGGISS with handwritten date (see: vNV.034, p.327), SS stands for Sumatra Selatan (= South Sumatra). This cancellation, although only small parts are visable, makes this used stamp extra rare and interesting
