Lever's Lux Toilet Soap advertising postcard of movie stars, showing on the front a nice picture of Deanna Durbin (all the Dutch texts have been crossed out by the censor), pre-franked with the meter 'Bandoeng Hoofdbestuur P.T.T.' (= Bandoeng Executive Management Postal Service) without date, (NED.-INDIË in the meter also crossed out), from Solo 16.4.03.8 to Temanggoeng. These advertising cards were issued with 12 different famous movie stars in 1938 in 2 versions, with Dutch or Indonesian language. This card is the only one we have seen used during the Japanese occupation (see: vNV. p.238-239, 403 type M7, RRR). Wonderful item for your exhibition collection!
