LESSER SOENDA ISLANDS. BALI. Anchor and cherry blossom postcard of 4 cent revalued and overprinted with 5 sen Bu.274 from Singaradja 8.1.4.6 to Gianjar. This card is known used in January 1946 on Bali, this copy being the earliest recorded, thus after the Japanese occupation. It must have been Republican usage. In the middle an Indonesian Red Cross cachet is applied ‘Toendjanglah Oesaha / Palang Merah Indonesia’ (Support the effort of the Indonesian Red Cross).
