Letter sheet without overprint Bu.S4 from Pematangsiantar 19.10.3 declared invalid and taxed with twice 7½c made of postage dues of 5c and 10c with Dai Ni Hon overprints 821z, cancelled at Galang 19.10.14. Censored at Medan with sewing machine and Bu.JC15, 17. Pre-war occupation stamps and postal stationery were declared invaled as of Oct 1944

Sumatra. East Coast. Cover (small tear) bearing 10c J10 tied by administrative straight-line cancel BRASTAGI and date 5 JAN. 1944, sent to Galang. Sewing machine censor and Bu.JC16. This temporary postmark was used only for a few months in 1944 awaiting the new circular date stamp. Extremely rare (illustrated in vNV. op p. 76)

Sumatra. East Coast. Hand-made cover insufficiently franked with 10c (faults), from Bangoenpoerba 19.6.27 (?) to Medan 19.6.28 where a postage due of 20c with Dai Ni Hon overprint 831z was applied. Scarce!
