Java. 3½ Cent postcard tied by machine pmk Djakarta 1.12.04, locally sent, however the address is not clear (Alamat tida terang). Red framed cachet ´Tidak dapat disampaikan/Kembali pada sipengirim/Djakarta Yubin Kyoku´ (Could not be delivered/Return to sender/Djakarta post office) which we did not came across often, the red oval cachet is from the sender

Java. 5 Cent Dancer no. 70 as a single and correct franking on a locally sent official cover from Soerabaja 1.8.02. The local postal rate is 5 cent and the stamp is probably used because the cover was sent to a private person. Violet permission mark of the Japanese military authorities in 1942 used in Soerabaja Bu.JC45a, and in red Koo Yoo (= official)

Java. 5 Cent Dancer no. 70 in pair on outlook envelope from the Head of the Taxation office at Malang, sent from Malang 20.7.0.2. showing a label from the post office concerning that if the addressee is not there, the Japanese Military Authority is asked to hand the cover to the spouse or assistant. Red framed permission mark Bu.45a

Java. 3½ Cent postcard with additional franking, in lilac-red tied by special cachet for the evening market ´Bandung-Shi/Pasar-Malam Istemewa 24.2.2605´ (vNV.406, R), which is quite unusual

Java. 2 Sen commemorative stamp to mark the first anniversary of the Japanese occupation of Java no. 01 as a single franking on an open envelope (obviously for a printed matter) from Probolinggo 25.5.03 to a P.O.W. in camp Djawa D (in Malang), red censor mark Bu.JC52a. Rare single franking!

Java. 3½ Sen commemorative stamp to mark the first anniversary of the Japanese occupation of Java no. 02 as a single franking on a home-made postcard within Madioen 22.10.03, addressee not found, redirected to Soerabaja 27.10.03, again not found and returned to sender

Java. Receipt of acknowledgement for money transfer by money order from Lemahabang 23.3.03 to Gombong 26.3.03 and further to Bandoeng 30.3.03 and the internal administration AFD.APT/A2 30.3.03. The form is in the colour pink and has the Dutch text on top ´VOORZIJDE X3 (bnl)´ and under the stamps of 10 sen (rate was 20c) ´RECHT VOOR NAVRAAG´ (= Fee for inquiry). This pre-war form is not recorded yet for usage during the Japanese occupation. Similar to Bu.RF19 (RRR). Wonderful item in very fine quality for every important collection of the Japanese occupation of the DEI. Cert. ´Van Dieten, 2019´

Sumatra. East Coast. Moehammadijah series with violet Dai Ni Hon overprint in straight frame nos. 821v-61/65, except for the 2 cent all other used (in the East Coast, and also used in Atjeh). The 10 cent is listed only with red overprint, the 15 cent is not listed at all

Sumatra. Djambi. Black two-line overprint Nippon/MA on 3½ cent Moehammadijah no. 421z-62 in very fine unused pair with sheet margin (without hinge but gum somewhat dried out). Not listed. Opinion SvL: the overprint is genuine
