Postcard written on 2 May 1950 franked with 7½ cent Dancer, cancelled Ponorogo (date unreadable), sent to Soerabaja, and because the stamp was not valid anymore the addressee had to pay 10 sen due. Because of shortage of postage due stamps Soerabaja used an emergency postage due stamp of 10 sen RIS with red handwritten initial B (of Buschkens) KPI.PD-2 no. 6. In the same red ink ´T´ and ´porto´. Extremely rare on genuinely postal item. Exhibition item!

Emergency paper money locally used on the oil factory Thio Hien Twan in Djoewana for daily usage between the hundreds of employees during mealtime, transport between home and the factory, and so on. One coupon of Rp 5 unused, two coupons of Rp 1 used (27 Nov 1948, 1 Des 1958). Very rare

Postage stamps of 7½ cent Dancer no. 211z-87v-71 in pair (right stamp repaired) with handstamped overprint DENDA in violet to indicate postage due use on 3½ cent postcard with handwritten ´15´ (sen), postage paid mark T, handwritten ´Rep Indonesia´ and red Rep. Indonesia type 211, sent from Taroetoeng 26.1.46 to Medan 21.1.30 (Japanese cancellation type 202). A unique item!

Republik. North Sumatra. 3½ Cent postcard type Kreisler with ORI overprint (= Oeang Republik Indonesia) and vague Rep. Indonesia type 211, from Siboga -3.12.48 to Boekittinggi. Censor mark (in the same blackish brown colour as overprints and cancellation) from the Japanese occupation type Bu.JC15. The card looks like Bu.RS68 (RRR), but without manuscript ´50´. Unique item!

Republik. South Sumatra. 3½ Cent postcard type Kreisler with violet framed F.1.- overprint Bu. RS56a, written on 14 May 1947 in Babat Toman (halfway Palembang-Soeroelangoenrawas), showing a faint violet strike of BABAT S.S. 12.7.47 (= Babat Sumatra Selatan, vNV. type 270, however not recorded), sent to Sekajoe. Most interesting (see also Bu. ill. RS56 on page 160)
