Wonderful collection of over 35 covers/cards damaged by seawater, salvaged from maritime disasters, as casualties of war, shipwrecks or plane crashes between 1892 and 1995, including many well-known disasters but also from unknown accidents, ´forgotten post´, sunk by torpedo attacks during The Great War , everything very well documented written-up on album pages, illustrated by stamps, documents and/or photo´s. Also a selection of the Feb 1953 Flood disaster in The Netherlands, and some other topics like floating-safe stamps (complete series* Neth and Neth Indies), housed in album. Reference ship disaster mail: Maritime Disaster Mail by Hoggarth & Gwynn (SRTF, 2003). Most interesting and historical collection!
