Sumatra. East Coast. 7½ Cent Dancer with black Dai Ni Hon overprint no. 811z-71 in block of four on cover from Medan 18.10.11. registered to the 'Toean Ketoea dari Kantor Pos (Posmaster) di Kelantan, Malay' (Head of the Kelantan Post Office). The cover was sent to Syonan 10.22.2603, further to Ipoh 10.23.2603, back to Syonan 11.1.2603 and returned to Medan 18.11.13 (all backstamped), because there is 'No registration Service, Retour'. Most interesting item which shows something of the postal relationship between the occupied Netherlands East Indies and occupied Malaya. Although there was registered mail to the southern Malayan states, there was none to Kelantan and others which had been incorporated into Thailand. See: JR van Nieuwkerk, 'The Malayan Postal Administration...etc.' (2023). Postal historical information added
