Revaluation. 3½ Cent Kreisler postcard with lilac two-line Dai Ni Hon Yuken Lampong overprint with hand-written ‘2’ (correct Lampong rate) and 3½ crossed-out, from Batavia-Centrum 24.11.0.-2 (vNV.088) to Bandjarnegara. The card is marked with T because the postal rate on Java was 3½ cent. On the front and whole reverse in Indonesian/Chinese a printed invitation from a family of 3 generations to have a tea ceremony in a room of Hoo Hap in Kampoeng Boegis, Telok Betong, on 29 Nov 2606 to celebrate a wedding. It could be that a few of these Lampong postcards were shipped to Batavia-Centrum (Djakarta) to be sent from there to family, friends and acquaintances on Java. Probably unique postcard in wonderful quality!

Lampong. 10 Cent van Konijnenburg with black two-line overprint Dai Ni Hon Yuken in combination with red Hinomaru wax overprint no. 621r/610z-43bg on somewhat roughly opened commercial cover from Kotaboemi 26.10.2 to Palembang 29.10.2. Censor label Ken Etzu Zumi on brown paper (not recorded by Bu. and Vr.). Very rare!

Sumatra. Lampong. Two blue cancellations DINES in frame of ca. 28 x 53 mm on pre-war airmail envelope sent by the Tandjongkarang post office to Hiroshi Wada, famous stamp dealer in Tokyo, Japan, and written in blue pencil received on 10 Sep 1943. In Japanese is written 'Muryo Yubin' (free of postage) over DINES. It is very well possible that Mr. Wada asked for some stamp matters to the Tandjongkarang post office, and the post officer returned this mail to Mr. Wada by using this free of postage cover
