GOUVERNEMENT NIPPON overprint in black, three black lines through Nederl.Indie and green Bali anchor overprint on 10 on 12½ cent Kreisler stationery envelope, tied by original Teikoku Seifu postmark of Ampenan, censored at Ampenan by Hanada, sent by the head of the post office at Ampenan registered to Djakarta 6.8.04.22. See: RJ van Nieuwkerk, The Postal History of the Lesser Sunda Islands etc. (2008), p.434-436. Only 3 used recorded, of which this the only correctly franked one (10 cent postage + 20 cent registration fee) and genuinely sent during the Japanese occupation, and in very fine condition. Fascinating piece for every exhibition collection!

Lombok. 10 Cent on 12½ cent postal stationery envelope with Lombok anchor overprint type 542z (Bu. unlisted) bearing Japanese stamp J17, 30 and 50 cent definitive issue, cancelled Teikoku Seifu pmk of Ampenan, sent registered to Djatinegara (Java). Genuinely used rare! Only a few copies known of this envelope with this overprint!

This revenue used as postage stamp is extremely rare if genuinely used on postal entire. Wonderful addition to your exhibition collection!
