GERMANY, South Polar Expedition 1910-1912, Cover from the Expedition´s stop-over in Montevideo, Uruguay, franked by 8c Artigas Mi.187 tied by superb ´Expedicion / Montevideo Uruguay´ 6 Oct 1911, and with special Expedition local in violet tied by superb italic ´Deutsche antarktische Expedition.´, to Geestermünde, Germany. The rarest of the expedition cancels and used only at the Montevideo stop, with only 2 or 3 covers known addressed to Germany

DISINFECTED MAIL. Two covers from Germany showing slices to disinfect against cholera (geschlitzt und geräuchert mit 2 bzw. 3 ca. 20 mm Schnitten), one from Hamburg 29 April 1791 to Madrid, the other from Grüneberg 20 Sep 1831 via Hamburg 27 Sep to London, and a cover from Alexandria 7 May 1842 by French mail to Malta showing the circular cachet ´Purifie au Lazaret / Malte´

SAAR and SAARLAND 1920-1950, used collection on albumpages with good numbers and sets with f.i.: Mi.1/17 (16 signed Diena), 26, 29, 31 (all signed Diena), 53/69, Bloc 1 and 2 etc., etc., although some stamps show a little staining, and some have dubious cancels, still a nice lot with high value!
