10 Cent nr. 2 en 50 cent in lijntanding nr. 15A in paar (linker zegel zeer fraai) afgest. halfrond-franco SAMARANG 29-10-1870 op frisse, maar aan de bovenzijde ruw geopende envelop (ook deel klep ontbreekt) ´P Land mail via Triest´ naar Rotterdam 12-12-1870, met op vz. geschreven ´2´ wat duidt op 2e gew. klasse, dus via Triëst 55 cent per 15 gram = 110 cent (zie: NITAR 98). De 10 cent emissie 1870 was al uitgegeven maar mocht pas gebruikt worden als de voorraad oude zegels van 10 cent was opgebruikt. Deze brief is daarvan een mooi voorbeeld. Ondanks wat beschadigingen aan de bovenzijde een zeer bijzonder en zeldzaam poststuk door de combinatiefrankering in de 2e gew. klasse!
