South and East Borneo. Emergency issue for Bandjermasin, 10 sen superbly cancelled Pangkalanboen 20.8.31.

South and East Borneo. Postcard used on Java. 3½ Cent postcard type Kreisler with lilac Bandjermasin anchor overprint Bu.202 written at Pangkalanboen on 25 May 2603, not cancelled on Borneo but in the city of destination, Semarang -8.8.03. The censor mark, also in lilac, is a common type used on Java Bu.JC36. It was faster to ask a friend going to Java to mail the card there, then to send it through the southeast Borneo postal service!

South and East Borneo. 3½ Cent Anchor and Cherry postcard Bu.229 from Bandjermasin 19.2.1 to Tokyo, blue censor mark of Bandjermasin Bu.JC6a with red chop

Postcard used on Java. 2 Sen Kusunoki Red Warrior postcard with 3½ overprint Bu.250 written at Bandjermasin, not cancelled on Borneo but in the city of destination, Soerabaja 20.7.03. The censor mark, in violet, is a common type used on Java Bu.JC36 with written date 20/7 03. It was faster to ask a friend going to Java to mail the card there, then to send it through the southeast Borneo postal service!

South and East Borneo. Postcard used on Java. 3½ Cent General issue for the Naval area written at Bandjermasin (family affairs), not cancelled on Borneo but in Soerabaja 30.9.03, from there sent to the nearby Bangil. The censor mark, in violet, is a common type used on Java Bu.JC36. The addressee Kaspoelanwar, child of the sender, cancelled 3 times his personal chop in red on the front. It was faster to ask a friend going to Java to mail the card there, then to send it through the southeast Borneo postal service!

South and East Borneo. 2 Sen General Nogi no. J3 as a single franking for a printed matter on wrapper from Bandjermasin 19.4.19 to the editors of the news paper 'Soeara Asia' in Soerabaja. A correct and very rare single franking for this Japanese postage stamp!

South and East Borneo. 2½ Cent Kreisler and 7½ cent Dancer both with lilac Bandjermasin anchor overprint nos. 213l-17b and 71 on a home-made envelope from Bandjermasin 19.12.-9 to Kendangan, with black censor mark of Bandjermasin Bu.JC6a

South and East Borneo. 10 Sen emergency issue for Bandjermasin with imperforated upper side no. 02 on home-made envelope from Rantau (date not written in the postmark) to a judge in Barabai, with in black two-line censor mark DIPERIKSA / RANTAU. On the reverse a message in ink is made showing two dates, 25-2-05 and 11-4-05 (date of dispatch?). Very rare and interesting cover in several respects! See: MTC, p.100

Cover from Kotabaroe-/Poeloelaoet 13.6.42 to Bandjermasin 16.6.42, and because suitable postage stamps were not available yet the post office counter clerk wrote 'Bea bajar f 0,10' with his signature (bu.JB18). Some time later an emergency prepaid franking mark was temporarely used. Very rare!

South and East Borneo. Locally sent letter to a judge in Bandjermasin 9.12.42, and because suitable postage stamps were not available yet an emergency prepaid franking mark 'BAJAR f 0.10.' with initial was temporarely used (Bu.JB12 in black). Very rare!

South and East Borneo. 1 Yen J17 as a correct franking on complete money order Bu.JF44 (2 very small pinholes, otherwise very fine quality!) to transfer Rp 274.30 locally in Tarakan 16.1.05. Rate as from 1 July 1944 100 sen for an amount between 200-300 roepiah. Rare single franking of this stamp! Ex Mattern

South and East Borneo. 10 Sen emergency issue for Bandjermasin with imperforated upper side no. 02 on money order Bu.JF44 to transfer 5 roepiah from Barabai 20.3.28 (vNV.016, 10 bars, handwritten date, RR) to Bandjermasin 20.3.31. Written in red ink 'betoel f 5' + initials, meaning that the amount is indeed 5 roepiah. Very rare franking!

South and East Borneo. 25 Cent postage due with violet Bandjermasin anchor overprint no. 212v-85a and 5 cent Numeral with black Makasser anchor overprint no. 113z-42 with variety 'inverted overprint' on complete money order Bu.JF44a tied by lilac cds Bandjermasin 20.3.14 to transfer 45 roepiah to Barabai, backstamped with date 20 3 15 17 written with pencil. Wonderful quality!
