North Celebes. 5 Cent Kreisler with black anchor overprint with variety 'Anchor sideways', small red disk and bar, blackened, no. 161r/150z-21b but with anchor sideways, on complete money order Bu.JF45 to transfer 1 roepiah from Tondano (violet TS pmk) with written date 5/3 2603 to a 'Kantor Lelang' (= auction office) in Menado 18.3.5. Interesting item in beautiful quality!

North Celebes. 1 Yen no. J17, two copies tied by Teikoku Seifu postmark Gorontalo on money order with black anchor overprint Bu.JF41a to transfer Rp 609.77 from Gorontalo 19.7.30 (also censored) to Menado 19.8.11. Rare franking (for amounts of 500-1000 the rate is 2 roepiah)!

South and East Borneo. 2½ Cent Kreisler without overprint no. 17b, two copies on m.o. fragment, both beautifully cancelled Pleihari (vNV.035, see ill. on p.350) with written date 19.4.19. Both stamps are very rare and probably the only ones recorded, the postmark is rare as well. € 360+

Bandjermasin anchor overprint type 221b with variety 'Broken anchor' in blue (see ill.) on 10 and 60 cent Van Konijnenburg nos. 43bk and 52k (not recorded) both unused, 7½ cent Dancer no. 71 unused, 25 cent postage due used, and on m.o. fragment 25 cent postage due together with 5 cent Numeral with black Makasser anchor overprint no. 112z-42 tied Bandjermasin 20.3.20

Postcard used on Java. 3½ Cent postcard type Kreisler with lilac Bandjermasin anchor overprint Bu.202 written at Pangkalanboen on 25 May 2603, not cancelled on Borneo but in the city of destination, Semarang -8.8.03. The censor mark, also in lilac, is a common type used on Java Bu.JC36. It was faster to ask a friend going to Java to mail the card there, then to send it through the southeast Borneo postal service!
