Revaluation. 3½ Cent Kreisler postcard with lilac two-line Dai Ni Hon Yuken Lampong overprint with hand-written ‘2’ (correct Lampong rate) and 3½ crossed-out, from Batavia-Centrum 24.11.0.-2 (vNV.088) to Bandjarnegara. The card is marked with T because the postal rate on Java was 3½ cent. On the front and whole reverse in Indonesian/Chinese a printed invitation from a family of 3 generations to have a tea ceremony in a room of Hoo Hap in Kampoeng Boegis, Telok Betong, on 29 Nov 2606 to celebrate a wedding. It could be that a few of these Lampong postcards were shipped to Batavia-Centrum (Djakarta) to be sent from there to family, friends and acquaintances on Java. Probably unique postcard in wonderful quality!
